Bournemouth
Our Mini Handball afterschool clubs run in several schools in and around Bournemouth. The clubs are for 7-11 year-olds and consist of weekly 1 hour sessions, running for 6-weeks, between half-terms. Each 6-week block costs only £30 and spaces fill up quickly, so please register if you’re keen for your child to be in the next intake.

What’s included in our Afterschool Club
Payable in advance, your child will be enrolled onto our next 6-week block of sessions at the school of your choice. Here’s a quick rundown of what you can expect from that:
- 1 hour a week after school session
- Expert coaching and tuition from qualified coaches
- A fun session filled with game play and technical skills practice.
- Free Mini Handball T-shirt
- Opportunity to enter our Half termly tournaments playing against the local Mini Handball Clubs.
Mini Handball Tournaments
Our Mini Handball Tournaments are the perfect opportunity for our young players to put all their new handball skills to the test.
Tournament venues are situated centrally within each school area to minimise travel and time, providing competition in a fun, friendly and supportive environment. The tournaments run at the end of each 6-week block and is open to both schools and community clubs.
Each school club is invited to enter the half termly tournaments. Teams require a minimum of 5 children to play and Schools may enter more than 1 team based on numbers in their age group. Tournament winners will be presented with medals.
On the day
- Players should arrive and meet up with their team wearing their specific club tshirts.
- All players should wear appropriate indoor court footwear and bring plenty of water in a sports bottle.
- Schedules will be released in the week leading up to the tournament.
- All games will be refereed by MHL staff and Young Leaders.
- Match balls will be provided (purchase your own here)
- All players will be under the supervision of MHL staff during their scheduled matches. Parents should inform staff if they are not staying to watch.
